The new team structure follows the recent relocation of chief operating officer, Peter Muller, to Australia at the start of the year.
Lesley Owen is appointed as managing director for Australia. Reporting to Muller, she will be responsible for leading growth and to oversee the organisation and management of ATPI Voyager.
Following the successful acquisition and integration of Plan B Travel, David McHardy is appointed as general manager for Western Australia, reporting to Owen. The region is a centre for mining, energy, offshore and shipping industries which value the specialist services offered by ATPI Griffinstone, one of the global leaders in travel management for these sectors.
Peter Muller, chief operating officer, the ATPI Group, comments:
“As we look forward to continuing our successful growth of the last year it is important that we bring together the right team with the right insight, knowledge and expertise. Both appointments are internal promotions, reinforcing the high calibre of our personnel and further strengthen our trans-Tasmanian proposition following our acquisition of BWT and Plan B last year. I look forward to working with them as we continue to realise our ambitions for future growth in Australia and New Zealand.”
The ATPI Group acquired Voyager Travel in Australia in 2014, Melbourne-based Plan B and New Zealand based Business World Travel in June last year. Offering market leading technology for corporate organisations, ATPI Voyager is the specialist brand for those whose operations require a combination of tailored travel management, award winning service and an effective time-efficient online solution.
The ATPI Group has a network of over 100 offices worldwide and is a global leader in travel management for corporate, shipping and energy businesses, sports and corporate event management and is at the forefront of travel technology development including online booking, system integration and data analytics.
