Northern AustraliaAustralia is ready to share its experience in conservation of heritage and tourism development with Ethiopia, says its Ambassador to Ethiopia, Mark Sawers.

Speaking at the opening of a photographic exhibition showcasing the half a century of diplomatic relations between the two countries in Addis Ababa Wednesday, Sawers added that Australia would work closely with Ethiopia in the cultural and tourism spheres apart from the diplomatic and economic sectors.

The photo exhibition helps to commemorate the long-standing ties between the countries and foster people-to-people relations, he added.

The head of the office of culture at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Assefa Kesito, said Ethiopia was increasingly becoming a tourist destination and the government would collaborate with its partners to further boost the tourism sector.

He recalled that Ethiopia was recently recognized as the ”Best Tourism Destination” by the European Tourism and Trade Council.
