Jumeirah Creekside Hotel is set to welcome Des Spencer back to the hotel after a successful collaboration in 2015.
Known as one of today’s most innovative Australian artists, Des will exhibit pieces from his collection in the lobby from 1 to 22 March 2016.
Des Spencer’s canvas paintings are inspired by his observations of the world around him and his creative output over the past two decades has cemented his reputation as a leading international artist. Highlights at this exhibition will include special live painting sessions conducted daily from 10am – 3pm in the hotel’s lobby.
The sessions will provide guests with the chance to witness a master at work and take part in exclusive one-on-one sessions. Guests can try their hand at recreating one of Des Spencer’s paintings under his expert guidance.
Jumeirah Creekside Hotel is also home to a specially commissioned art collection which connects the property to the region’s vibrant art and cultural heritage. A selection of Middle Eastern contemporary art is playfully arranged throughout the hotel, enabling guests to discover different sculptures and paintings through a series of chance encounters. Comprising 482 works by 51 contemporary artists, the exhibition also includes videos, limited edition series and mixed media works.
