It is rather unusual that a ski resort in Austria has not received its share of snowfall this winter and to cover the absence of snow the country has adopted an out of the ordinary method to fill the Alpine slopes with snow cannons to create snow by spraying a fine mist in the air.
SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser in the Brixental Valley will now have snow as the new snow is being pushed down the slope in the thin track for these skiers who have already planned their winter skiing vacations.
The snow is being carries by a helicopter down to the bottom of the slope where skiers can carve modest track and not be discouraged.
The track will allow 25,000 skiers and holidaymakers to reach the different parts of the resort and enjoy the small pleasure that the winter season did not offer this reason.
The region has already suffered 11 percent drop in business and the snow technology cannot make up for the snow to that extent. Tourism has been disappointing due to high temperature across certain parts of Europe.
