Austrian Airlines flight OS 1088 from New York with a total of 180 passengers landed in Vienna today at 10.14 a.m. local time. Quite a few stars were on board such as Dita Von Teese, Carmen Electra, Kelly Osbourne, Amanda Lepore, Paula Abdul, Yasmine Petty, Carmen Carrera and Roseanne Barr. The celebrities travelled to Vienna accompanied by hair stylists, make-up artists and managers to ensure their unforgettable appearance at the annual Life Ball charity event.
Austrian Airlines accepts its responsibility to society, and thus supports charitable and social organizations, institutions and projects with a global relevance. The Life Ball is one of the projects underlining the commitment of Austria’s national carrier. For ten years now Austrian Airlines has been bringing numerous and prominent supporters of the fight against Aids to Vienna. Austrian Airlines staff wears red ribbons as a sign of their solidarity.
Austrian Airlines branded a Boeing 767 in commemoration of the Life Ball with the financial support of the Vienna Tourist Board. This Boeing aircraft featuring the special design has been in the air since May 7, 2015, flying to New York, Toronto, Dubai and Beijing, amongst other destinations. Austrian Airlines is pleased to have brought the prominent guests from New York to Vienna in the official Life Ball 2015 aircraft.
