AVA (Audio Visual Arts) Festival and Conference, a first of its kind electronic music festival shining a light on emerging and established artists in Northern and Southern Ireland, will take over T13 Belfast on Titanic Docks for its second year on June 4th 2016.
Returning for its second year, round two sees heavyweight RØDHÅD joining the bill, the debut live show from bicep, the return of Boiler Room, plus Mano Le Tough, Gerd Janson, Optimo, Phil Kieran, Timmy Stewart and more local legends.
Right now, the Belfast underground scene is stronger than ever, with talent bursting from the seams. This is a main focus of the AVA programming, with homegrown expertise coming from Shine resident Phil Kieran, Extended Play’s Jordan, plus Swoose & Cromby, fresh from recent shows at infamous Berlin institution Panorama Bar at Berghain.
Across the three festival stages find Jika Jika, Twitch DJs, Misfit, OR:LA, Extended Play bossman Timmy Stewart, Southern Irish Brame & Hamo and many more to be announced, each stepping up with techno, disco and house flavours, plus everything in-between.
AVA is a conference, live broadcast and live showcase; a multi-sensory and immersive event. From Ableton workshops to production panels and lectures, this year brings a similar vibe, with a huge programme to be announced next month.
T13 Beflast will undergo a spectacular transformation, complete with AV displays from Guerrilla Shout, a pop-up record fair, and a host of delectable street food for pushing through day to night.
