Avinor has appointed Martin Langaas (age 34) as the new Manager Cargo Development. He comes to Avinor from the Project and Development Manager position in Collicare and will take up his new position on 1st of June. Langaas has extensive experience from the freight and logistics sector, as well as detailed knowledge about the aviation industry in Norway, and Norwegian business and industry in general.
“This appointment is important for us in Avinor. Cargo will play an even more significant role in the future, and we have now strengthened our organisation so that we are positioned to serve both the airlines and other businesses even better,” says Avinor’s Vice President of Traffic Development, Jasper Spruit.
Important for Norway
He wants Avinor to be an important partner for Norwegian business and industry.
“We must ensure that we have framework conditions and infrastructure that make us attractive for both the Norwegian and international business communities, in a market characterised by sharp competition. Therefore, we will work hard to become an even more attractive partner than we are today,” says Spruit.
Langaas and Avinor are committed to filling all the long-haul aircraft that depart from Oslo Airport every day with Norwegian seafood.
“Norwegian seafood is one of the fastest growing industries in the country. Demand is high, and the industry depends on aircraft to bring their fresh products to the markets. We contribute to making this industry even more competitive by offering good, efficient solutions to the market,” says Spruit.
Langaas will be employed in the Traffic Development department and will primarily work at Oslo Airport. He has been with Collicare since 2012 and his other previous employers include DB Schenker and Aftenposten.
