AJW Aviation, the leading independent integrated aircraft support specialist, has signed an agreement for an additional two A320 aircraft under the auspices of its ten year PBH contract with Lithuanian airline, Avion Express. “The power-by-the-hour support that AJW provides for this part of our European operation now covers all fourteen A320 aircraft; offering full ATA coverage and on-site stock” said Aleksei Lupitski, President and CEO – Avion Express.
Headquartered in Vilnius, Avion Express is a major fleet operator within the Baltic States and specialises in providing capacity to other airlines worldwide under the ACMI concept using its fleet of A320 family aircraft. One of the newly acquired A320s is already flying for Dominican Wings, the other is being brought into service in anticipation of the summer tourist season.
Christopher Whiteside, President – AJW Group, adds: “Accessing the spare parts needed – when they are needed – is critical to every airline’s success. AJW has the resources and knowledge required to effectively manage these important services and has worked closely with Avion Express for several years as they build their fleet to support business growth.”
AJW is recognised for its award-winning 24/7 AOG and critical component services, and these are fully supported by AJW Technique, the Montreal based component repair and overhaul facility. With a global customer base of more than 1,000 airlines of all sizes, and with over 900 aircraft under contract, AJW is fast becoming the partner of choice to offer fully integrated support solutions to airline and MRO organisations seeking competitive advantage.
