Bahrain welcomed over 2 lakh visitors between Jan 14-20

BahrainAbout 291,840 people entered Bahrain between Jan 14 and Jan 20, Bahrain’s Assistant Under-secretary for Ports, Search & Follow-up, said at the General Directorate of Nationality, Passports & Residence.

 
He explained that, 232,143 arrived from Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, via the King Fahad Causeway while 55,031 arrived through Bahrain International Airport, and 4,666 through seaports.

 
The 25-kilometre-long King Fahad Causeway, the terrestrial link between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, was opened on Nov 26, 1986. It has been used by millions of travellers and vehicles, making it one of the busiest traffic areas in the Arab world.
