Of late, Bali has developed into a very popular tourist destination for the Japanese tourists. Between January and August 2016, Bali witnessed an increase of about 7.98% in Japanese tourists from the same period in 2015.
But then, though the number of Japanese visitors to Bali have increased, they rank third in terms of nations that provide the visitors to Bali.
Adi Nugroho, the head of the Central Statistics Agency said that China has moved on to occupy the second position when it comes to sending its tourists to Bali. And, Australia continues to be the very first country that sends the maximum number of tourists to the island of Bali.
Apart from the spectacular tourist locales that attract the Japanese visitors, these people are also quite fond of the inherent culture and heritage of Bali.
Adi Nugroho said that a large number of Japanese tourists end up visiting Japan as they desire to learn how to play the traditional percussion instrument of Bali, known as the ‘tabuh’. Moreover, the Japanese also make it a point to visit Bali to learn the beautiful Balinese dances.
These tourists keep returning to Bali as they wish to complete learning the Balinese dances or how to play the tabuh.
