Bali to draw record number of Chinese tourists in Lunar New Year

baliBali has become one of the most popular destinations for the Chinese tourists who have been visiting this region in large numbers to spend their Chinese New Year vacation that commenced on 27th January and will continue till 2nd February. The other two favored locales are Jeju and Phuket.


These three places are the most preferred. This is due to the fact that tourists can access them through cruise ships easily.


Also, they offer tropical island leisure or fun in the snow.


The director of Beijing Tourism Academy named Zhang Lingyun said that going for cruises is a brand new trend for the Chinese tourists, particularly those who go for vacations there, along with their families.


It has been estimated that the number of Chinese travellers who have made reservations on a cruise ship this year has actually tripled as compared to last year’s numbers during the holiday of the Chinese New Year.


A report published by the China National Tourism Academy (CNTA) said that the number of Chinese tourists travelling abroad would increase to about 6 million people.


This figure marks a 48% annual increase for the Chinese New Year holiday period.


A report from the China Tourism Academy asserts that as much as 122 million Chinese tourists had travelled out of their nation in the year 2016. Also, they had ended up spending about US$109.8 million on their trips. This is a 16% rise than the expenditures of local tourists within China.


The other favorite vacationing spots for Chinese travellers are the United States, England, New Zealand and Australia.
