Bali tries to lure tourists from small European countries

baliThe GIPI or Indonesian Tourism Industry Association Bali has asked the tourism industry professionals to drawn in tourists from the small nations of Europe.


Ida Bagus Agung Partha Adnyana who is the chairman of GIPI Bali said that the latest trends of the tourism industry are quite different from those that were prevalent about 10 or 20 years ago. Tourists used to find it challenging to visit Bali since the frequency of flights were relatively low. However, currently, people have absolutely no difficulty in visiting Bali.


Adnyana also said that the European tourists used to reside in the region of Bali for up to about two weeks.


But at present, the tourists are content with staying in Bali just for a period of four or five days, he feels. He said on Tuesday that the country should be determined to find solutions to this crisis.


Also, Bali is now thronged by tourists belonging to different nations on account of the advancements made in digital technology.


He went on to add that in the past the only people who used to visit Bali were the German and Dutch tourists. But now, people from the small European countries have also started visiting the region. The countries generally have a population of about three or five million. Therefore, of late, the tourists visiting Bali are more varied, and Adnyana said that Bali should aim for attracting these people to a greater extent.
