Barbados tourism to shine with Caribbean’s first food, hotel & restaurant exhibition

first Caribbean foodThe first Caribbean food, hotel and restaurant exhibition, Carib Food & Hospitality, will be held at Barbados this July, highlighting the regions’s culinary delights.

 

This event will host Salon Culinaire, a series of display-based culinary competitions; entry to which is open to professional chefs, pastry chefs, cooks and bakers. From practical cooking competitions to buffet and banqueting show pieces, chefs showcase their talent through a wide range of skills and techniques.

 

Categories for the awards include: Caribbean chef of the year – Young Caribbean chef of the year – Best Cuisinier – Best Kitchen Artist – Best Pastry Chef – Best Chocolate Carving Showpiece – Best Pastry Showpiece – Best Fusion Chef.

 

Some industry stakeholders will be exhibiting at CaribFood, these include Beaver Street Fisheries, Choo Enterprises, Nuts about Florida and Smart Foods Caribbean.

 

The event will take place at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre in Bridgetown, Barbados, from July 6th to 8th, 2017.
