The events, which included a pampering session at Galgorm Manor and a Nickelback concert at SSE Arena, provided trade representatives with the opportunity to get up-to-date information about new developments at Belfast City Airport, and the products and services available.
Over 25 travel agents from across Northern Ireland were in attendance, including Thompson Travel, Knock Travel, Topflight and Travel Solutions.
Diane Risk, Travel Trade Consultant at Belfast City Airport, commented:
“Our local travel trade is a hugely important component of the aviation industry in Northern Ireland and we wanted to show our thanks to agents we work in close partnership with.
“These events give us the opportunity to brief our travel trade partners on new airlines, our plans for growing our route network, our car parking products and other commercial offerings.
“It’s been a hugely successful year for Belfast City Airport, with highlights including the announcement of our Icelandair route to Reykjavik beginning in June and the launch of a new ski flight to Salzburg which begins on Christmas Eve.
“We smashed our annual international passenger record with four months of the year remaining, while the summer also saw Belfast City Airport ranked as the sixth most convenient airport in the world, and the most convenient airport in the UK and Ireland, in a Daily Telegraph study.”
