Experiencing Berlin gets easier and more flexible in 2016. The Berlin WelcomeCard will include discounts at C/O Berlin, the Stasi-Museum in Lichtenberg, and the interactive Game Science Center. More news: Europe’s most popular tourist pass will be available in versions from two to six days.
The Berlin WelcomeCard does not only include travel on all means of public transport but also discounts between 25 and 50 per cent at more than 200 tourist attractions. The handy guide includes a list of all discounts and a map of Berlin and Potsdam. The ticket can be bought at all six Berlin Tourist Information Offices. It can also be purchased at public transport ticket machines and selling points operated by BVG und S-Bahn Berlin, at the city’s airports, in many hotels, and by calling visitBerlin at +49 30 25 00 25. The website berlin-welcomecard.com helps people choose the right version of the ticket with just a few clicks.
More than 200 top attractions in Berlin
The city pass serves the needs of first-time and returning visitors equally well: High discounts at top attractions such as Berlin’s TV Tower, Zoo Berlin, or the DDR museum are included in the ticket. The Berlin WelcomeCard mirrors the diversity of Berlin’s highlights and features new discoveries such as the high rope course at Jungfernheide or the cultural centre Heimathafen Neukölln.
Multi-day tickets from €19.50
From 2016, the Berlin WelcomeCard can be used more flexibly. In addition to the two-day, three-day, and five-day tickets, new tickets for four days and six days will be issued. The two-day card for fare zone Berlin AB is available from as little as €19.50. Any number of children to the age of 6 and up to three children between the ages of 6 and 14 can accompany an adult at no extra charge on all AB and ABC tickets of the Berlin WelcomeCard. Good for families: Many touristic partners offer special discounts for children. The Berlin WelcomeCard Museumsinsel for one adult covers admission to all of the museums on Museum Island (excluding special exhibitions) and is available for 72 hours from €42.00.
