Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and elit by Stolichnaya are celebrating the past, present, and future of the world’s most revered cocktail: the Martini. To commemorate the uniquely American drink, sidebar by Wolfgang Puck at Beverly Wilshire is offering a “Make Mine a Martini” flight of three martinis crafted with the highest rated vodka in the world. The special martini menu kicks off June 12, 2015 and culminates with National Martini Day on June 19, 2015.

Prepared James Bond-style, the classic Vodka Martini is shaken until the ice is cold, strained and served up, garnished with a lemon twist.
With a splash of olive juice, this popular variation of the classic martini is strained and served up, garnished with an olive.
Inspired by the classic Martinez, sidebar Bartender David Schlachtenhaufen created this local version replacing sweet vermouth and orange bitters with Lillet Blanc and lemon bitters to create a modern martini with light, elegant and subtle citrus and floral notes. Standing in for maraschino liqueur, sauternes dessert wine mingles nicely with the other ingredients and adds a sweet viscosity. The cocktail is given backbone and body by the elit by Stolichnaya, which also allows the more subtle notes from the other ingredients to come through.
“The benefit of using good vodka in a cocktail is its ability to contribute rich, high-alcohol body without overpowering other elements of the drink,” David says. The Neoclassic is garnished with a sprig of rosemary spritzed with orange blossom water and Lillet Blanc, which contribute a fresh botanical complexity to the cocktail.
Whether unwinding after work or relaxing on the weekend in Beverly Hills, the “Make Mine a Martini” flight is the perfect way to experience both classic and revived versions of the iconic American cocktail.
