Big Sky PBR declared as the finalist for Montana Tourism Event 2017. It brings the roughest and bull and toughest riders in the world into business together. To quote Matt Kidd, a principal with CrossHarbor Capital Partners, ‘’ PBR is a highlight of the summer season in Big Sky and as the event has grown, it has become a measuring stick for continued growth and energy for all of Big Sky.’’
The event this year is again growing along with PBR Rider Relief Golf Tournament fundraiser on Wednesday, July 26, at Spanish Peaks Mountain Club. The Big Sky Art Auction will be held on July 27 under the big tent at PBR Arena. Just after the auction, Turnpike Troubadours will take the Town Center Stage at the official PBR kickoff party during Thursday night’s Music in the Mountains.
Bull riders across the globe will each ride on July 28th and 29th giving the top 10 riders eight second chance to win the overall contest. Just after the riding, Music will start on the SAV stage along with free performances by James McMurtry on Friday and the Jamie McLean Band on Saturday. Visitors can witness rides into the 90’s as Chad Berger, stock contractor brings world champion contending bulls to the event each year confirmed by Jacey Watson, of co-producer Freestone Productions.
