Small group and tailor-made specialist Mountain Kingdoms is launching its first ever range of cycling tours which will include biking adventures in Bhutan and Peru for 2014 with more options to follow.
The brains behind the biking tours is cycling-mad operations manager, Jim Davies. Jim and his trusty bike ‘road tested’ potential new routes personally. Now he has created three cycling tours aimed at groups of biking enthusiasts of all levels.
Cultural Cycling Tour of Bhutan: A relaxed 17-day tour of Bhutan’s culture, this is open to all abilities with a support vehicle to transfer you over some of the high passes.
High Mountains & High Passes Cycling Tour of Bhutan: A more strenuous 19-day test for the cycle enthusiast. This group tour will take in the best of Bhutan by bike, with spectacular views of the high mountains of the Himalaya. Very long descents can see you freewheeling downhill for three hours.
Cycling the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, Peru: Bike from Cuzco, through the Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu on this 13-day tour. The non-technical riding aims to appeal to anyone who loves cycling in exotic locations.
Mountain Kingdoms is an independent, UK based, small group holiday specialist with 26 years’ experience in running worldwide trekking holidays, trekking peaks and cultural tours. You can read Jim’s blog post on how to pack up your bike for a flight here.
