Almost 150 stalls were put up by the organizers. There were some participants from India and Malaysia, the rest of the buyers were from Bangladesh. Foreign participation was somewhat less due to the political turmoil in the country. The fair closed on a promising note and the next event of the BITF was announced in mid June.

Various issues concerning more international participation, Visa issues from Bangladesh to India and other SAARC countries were discussed. With fairs like these it can be hoped that the ties between the Asian countries can be made stronger and tourism can prosper in Asia.
