On Saturday, August 27, 2016 follow your nose – and ears – to BOURBON STEAK at Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC as it gets down and dirty with its second annual Bourbon & Blues event. As an early kick off to Bourbon Heritage Month in September, this sizzling shindig lives up to its name, literally, with three hours of foot-stomping live blues, signature bourbon cocktails by Head Bartender Torrence Swain, wine, beer and a sprawling buffet of Southern-style barbeque by Executive Chef Joe Palma.
Taking over the spacious courtyard patio from 12:00 nooon to 3:00 pm, Bourbon & Blues will feature bourbons from DC’s own One Eight Distilling and Jos. A Magnus & Co. Distillery along with a one-of-a-kind, single-barrel Mint Julep Ale from Flying Dog Brewery of Frederick, Maryland. Chef Palma will showcase his meat-centric side with an array of all-you-can-eat favuorites. Dig into picked BBQ pork shoulder; go big with Texas-style braised lamb shoulder and beef brisket; or boogie down with Memphis-style dry rubbed pork ribs. The feast also features classic cookout sides such as cheddar mac & cheese, jalapeno dill coleslaw, scallion cornbread and Chesapeake crab salad. Just be sure to save room for dessert with blue and blackberry Cobbler, peaches and sweet tea doughnuts and strawberry shortcake with sweet cream biscuits.
