A woman of 37 years suffered burns in 90 percent of her body. Another 36 years old man suffered 80 percent burns in the body. The victims were admitted at the specialised burns unit in Valencia. Two of the victims came from Valencia in Spain and there was also one married couple on the boat.
The seven metre long boat exploded on 24th July in the afternoon near the petrol station at Ibiza port.
Just before the explosion, the boat was refuelled. The semi-rigid boat got engulfed in flames along with a jet ski accompanying it.
Witnesses reported that the fire caused two tourists to be catapulted in the air from the boat.
The emergency services and the onlookers came together to put out the fire and save the tourists.
The Port Authority informed that the reason behind the blast is yet to find out and they investigation team has not ruled out anything.
