Boeing delivers the first 737 MAX 8 to flydubai

boeingflydubai will be the first Middle East carrier to operate Boeing’s newest single-aisle airplane 737 MAX 8.


Ghaith Al Ghaith, chief executive, flydubai said in a statement that he was delighted to receive the first Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft from the order made at the Dubai Airshow in the year 2013.


With the largest single-aisle Boeing aircraft order placed in the Middle East they were looking forward to continue work with Boeing and get benefits from increased efficiency. They wanted to offer an enhanced customer experience on a large scale.


The delivery is the first of 75 737 MAX airplanes that flydubai will be adding to their all-Boeing fleet of Next-Generation 737s.



There is a fleet of 58 Next-Generation 737-800s  flydubai operates. It has built a network of more than 95 destinations in 44 countries, from Russia, Czech Republic, Thailand and Tanzania in the south.



Kevin McAllister, Boeing Commercial Airplanes president mentioned that flydubai’s growth in just nine years has been remarkable and it was a proud moment for Boeing to be a part of this journey.



The partnership will increase the market-leading efficiency and reliability of flydubai. The 737 Max family will offer exceptional performance with flexibility and efficiency.



Its lower per-seat costs and an extended range will open up new destinations in the single-aisle market benefitting the customers.


The 737 MAX is well equipped with the latest technology CFM International LEAP-1B engines, advanced Technology winglets, Boeing Sky Interior and large flight deck displays.


There are other improvements to deliver the highest efficiency, reliability and passenger comfort in the single-aisle market.


The 737 MAX is the fastest-selling airplane in Boeing history with more than 3,800 orders till date from 89 customers across the world.
