A bomb threat forced a Norwegian Air flight to divert from its course on Thursday.
Norwegian Air spokesman Anders Lindstrom confirmed in a statement: “Norwegian can confirm that a bomb threat has been made against flight DY4321 from Stockholm Arlanda to Nice. For safety reasons, the aircraft, with 163 passengers and six crew members on board, returned to Arlanda airport.”

“All customers are being rebooked,” he added.

Flight DY4321 left Stockholm Arlanda Airport in Sweden at 10:01 a.m. CET but returned by 11:12 a.m. CET, according to flight tracking website FlightAware.

“As this is now a police matter, further questions need to be addressed to local police. Norwegian’s top priority is always the safety of our passengers and employees,” Lindstrom added.

A notice on the airport website said there were “no restrictions at the airport due to the security incident. Air traffic, road traffic, train traffic and all other operations are in service.”

There has been no comment from the airport authorities so far.
