Brazil The national secretary of Interinstitutional Integration of the Ministry of Tourism, Bob Santos, participated this Wednesday (August 28), in Balneário Camboriú (SC), the 3rd Forum of MICE Tourism Events and Business.
The event, which aims to consolidate Balneário Camboriú as one of the most competitive destinations in the country, featured success stories and players from the national market, with lectures on event capture, destination importance and event tourism and business.
In his lecture, Secretary Bob Santos stressed the importance of security to consolidate the image of Brazil as a tourist destination both in the national and global scenario.
“Tourism safety was the main theme of the whole event, with presentations by experts in the area, bringing knowledge and learning to all present. The goal is to make the travel experience in Brazil better and safer. We will bring together the issues related to public safety, civil defense, consumer protection and health surveillance which together give the sense of tourist safety,” he said.
The secretary also added that Ministry of Tourism, Brazil has been working on the elaboration of the National Tourism Security System, together with the Ministries of Health, Justice and Public Safety and Regional Development.
In addition, on October 1st and 2nd of this year, Pasta will promote the 1st Tourism Security Seminar, in the presence of the State Secretaries of Tourism and Public Security to discuss the theme in a broad and integrated manner.
The 3rd MICE Forum, organized by the Balneario Camboriu Convention & Visitors Bureau, is intended especially for entrepreneurs from all sectors, as well as managers and students. This year, the meeting was held at Hotel Sibara Flat & Conventions, from 8:30 am.
