The Brazil Ministry of Tourism and the Coordination of Improvement of Higher Education Personnel announced the outcome of the selection process which approved and ranked 50 fellows for Project Cooperation between Brazil and Portugal in Area Qualification in Hospitality and Tourism.
Undergraduate students in Tourism and Hospitality enrolled in public and private schools were included, to the pioneering international training course, with the technical support of the Coordination of Improvement of Higher Education Personnel.
The course starts on December 19 and lasts until February 11, 2014 with 226 hours of tuition, including theory and practical. Besides learning advanced techniques of various forms of hotel management – focusing on the areas of management, supervision of hotels, among others – they will also study English.
“The idea is that, on their return, students can multiply the knowledge learned in Portugal, in order to contribute to improvement in service delivery in the country, during big events,” said Brazil Tourism Minister Gaston Vieira.
