_K9A2888Boasting 283 days of sunshine a year, it comes as no surprise that Brisbanites are an active bunch. Sweat Social is leading the way in a new fitness trend that is taking you outside of your everyday workout into some of the city’s most sought after locations including rooftop bars, nightclubs and high profile event spaces (The Met Nightclub, Up on Constance and The Joinery in West End). Sweat Social’s aim is simple- to get you excited about meeting new people in a extraordinary fitness environment and to live a healthy and active lifestyle. The new fitness revolution invites you to get sweaty and meet new friends while working out around Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Shake up your workout routine and enjoy yoga, high intensity cardio and weight training while being pampered with wellness treats and goodies. Each event has partnered with some of Brisbane’s top fitness providers including Fitstop Australia, Harlow Hot Pilates and Yoga, Inspirecycle and Dance Barre. Local health and fitness brands are also a part of the phenomenon including VIVRA, Matcha Ninja, Before you Speak coffee, local health cafes & restaurants including Cheeky Poke Bar, Nodo Donuts & Miss Bliss Wholefoods. Bringing you more than just an average training session.

Tired of the party scene and craving weekend social activities that didn’t involve eating or drinking out, Creator and Founder of Sweat Social Kelly Gibson wanted a little more than the typical Saturday morning bootcamp.

“I created something I wish existed and I love the idea of getting people together who share my love for fitness.

To me, there is nothing better than the high from a super sweaty workout and the sense of achievement that comes from pushing myself – and we all get inspiration from working out in innovative fitness setting, Kelly said.

Sweat Social is revolutionizing the fitness game by encouraging people to get active and network at the same time. The difference between Sweat Social and a regular training session is that you feel pumped before you even arrive. It turns exercise that you may otherwise try to put off, into an event you actually look forward to.

Gone are the days where you needed to hit a bar or a nightclub to meet people.

“The fitness industry in Brisbane has been so supportive of Sweat Social and we’ve worked with many Brisbane gyms, studios, fitness instructors and yoga teachers to create our amazing events

We give Brisbane locals the opportunity to be social on the weekends and do something positive and healthy for their body- it’s a win win! Sweat Social events are fun, totally inclusive, Kelly said.
