The flights would be operating thrice every week from 26th June. This would continue until September. And, the fares would be starting from £79 one way. The frequency to Mykonos would increase from four to five flights per week at the same time.
British Airways also serves Santorini during the aummer months from the Docklands airport.
However, the flights to Angers in France would also stop on account of air traffic control restrictions.
Moreover, a service to Hamburg is also being withdrawn for certain commercial reasons, according to the airline. The airline would be offering two million seats from London City starting this summer and the bookings would be open from today onwards.
This decision has been made following the announcement of a weekly service between Manchester and London city from the month of May.
From 21st February, the flights would go on sale.
This summer onwards, about 29 destinations would start operating from London City this summer.
Luke Hayhoe, the general custom manager of British Airways said that this is the busiest year for British Airways since nearly 1.9 million seats have been on sale from London City Airport.
He said that BA is delighted to introduce the new service to Skiathos in the summer routes and also increase the number of flights to Mykonos.
