The flights is expected to take effect from Monday that is 28th May.
There would be six daily flights except in Tuesdays from London Gatwick to Gibralter.
And these would all operate in the high season till Saturday that is 29th September.
Until this announcement, British Airways has only operated to London Heathrow and this new service would be adding an additional 2,000 return seats per week from the Rock while there has been no reduction in the number of flights that were operated to Heathrow.
Gilbert Licudi who is the Minister for Tourism and Commercial Aviation, had welcomed the news that implies that with additional summer capacity on bigger easyJet airplane and new charter holiday flights from the regional airports in the UK being offered by Super Break tourism to Gibralter might be enjoying a boost.
The commencement of these flights would also make it convenient for residents and people on the Campo and also corporate travellers to find seats to the UK.
