Three female passengers of the British airways felt like ‘rock stars’ after the airline started to give them world class facilities during their air travel to Heathrow in London from the airport in Gibraltar, when the airline found the three ladies to be the only passengers on the flight for 150 travellers.
The 34-year-old Laura Stevens, 33-year-old Laurie-Lin Waller and the 35-year-old Sarah Hunt were upgraded to the business class of the jet by the airline and they were also presented with Champagne for the 2.5-hour flight that was scheduled to depart around 5:20 pm local time, last week.
After the airline delayed the flight for three hours, the three air passengers turned up the airport premises late as three of them checked-in online. But after entering the airport, they found that the other passengers, who arrived right on time for the flight, boarded an earlier flight.
Despite of flying with economy class tickets for £80, the crew members of the airline treated the three ladies like ‘A-listers’ and bumped them to business class seats. The passengers were also served with a three-course meal, unlimited Champagne and they also got to click selfies with the captain of the jet.
Ms Stevens informed that they were the only people in the departure lounge so; the staff let them use the executive suite, which is usually reserved for business flight passengers. When the ladies mentioned how they had hoped to buy their family gifts at the airport, the staff also opened shops so they could browse. She also informed that they were given the front row seats and it felt as if they were on a private jet.
The airline certainly made Christmas memorable for the three female air passengers.
