Sharly Thomas and Lois Reid, both aged 24 are now suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after they witnessed the bloody sight of the fisherman being ‘ripped apart’ by the rear propellers of their speedboat. These two women were engaged. And, they had booked the private trip by paying £60. This trip was being conducted by the Pine Bay holiday resort that is based in Kusadasi in Turkey.
Sharly Thomas who is an IT worker said that the captain of their boat was driving quite fast and was quite busy on his mobile phone throughout the trip.
She also said that as they were approaching the bay, a banana boat started moving towards them. Then, all of a sudden, they saw a head pop up before they heard a loud thump.
Next, they were horrified to see massive dark pools of blood in the water. It was then that they realized that the fisherman had been torn apart by their boat. Lois who is a rifle range manager said that they started screaming and crying as soon as they noticed what had happened, but the captain of their boat reacted quite calmly.
These ladies come from Letchworth in Herts.
They have accused their owner of trying to cover up the incident. They said that the representative of Thomas Cook had advised them to relax and stop thinking about the gory incident. Furthermore, they also said that the police did not disclose anything about the victim.
Then, they learnt from a local resident that the victim was married and he was a father to two children, and that he was about 54.
The two British tourists have been asked to appear in a Turkish court where they might have to give evidence.
