Bulawayo Intwasa festival to kick off from September 27

indexPreparations for Bulawayo’s leading arts festival Intwasa and the inaugural carnival are at an advanced stage. Several foreign musical groups and churches are confirming their participation in this festival.

 

Intwasa is being organized by Intwasa team, Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) and the ministry of tourism. It will coincide with the World Tourism Day which is celebrated on the 27th of September.

 

Nkululeko Nkala, the marketing officer of this festival said that Intwasa will run from 27th to 30th September. He said that along with World Tourism Day celebrations, a memorable Intwasa festival is expected. Nkala added that various dance groups from abroad as well as local churches, universities and schools will take part in this festival. Local artists will also be participating in the festival. The principal aim of Intwasa is to showcase the rich culture of Bulawayo.
