The crash occurred on a highway near Bangkok, in eastern Thailand. The impact of the crash immediately killed both the drivers of the bus and the pick-up truck, along with the travellers.
The crash was immediately followed by a huge inferno, filling the air with thick black smoke. The local authorities informed that right after crossing the central reservation; the minibus lost control and crashed into the oncoming pick-up truck after crossing the grass media.
The Thai Road Accident Data for Road Safety Culture informed that the pickup truck was heading towards the opposite direction from the bus, before the devastating accident occurred.
Among the 25 people, who were killed in the bus crash, two were the drivers of the vehicles and the rest 23 were travelling by the bus. The superintendent of Chonburi province’s Ban Bung district police station, Col. Dusadee Kunchorn Na Ayutthaya informed that two of the travellers survived the crash.
The police could not question the survivors to find the reason behind the crash yet. But they launched an investigation, right after the fatal crash.
