A bus full of 200 women crashed across State Route 330 of Southern California, which is near about 60 miles east of Los Angeles. The bus belongs to Llamada Final Ministries, which is a church, situated at Downey in California. The bus was carrying 200 visitors to a church retreat. The accident occurred on Sunday, 23rd May, shortly after two in the afternoon.
While the tourists were returning back from the retreat, the bus turned to its side with 200 women passengers. Officials stated that two of them were gravely injured and they had to be airlifted to the hospital. Four women with moderate amount of injury were taken to the hospital by ambulance. Apart from them, 20 women got minor injuries too. Those, who were not taken to the hospital, were examined and also were given first aid on the spot of the accident.
The 16 miles of the highway had to be shut down for quite some time because of the rescue operation by the Fire Department of San Bernardino County.
Fire Capt. of San Bernardino County, Jeremy Kern says that all the 20, who were taken to the hospital in ground ambulance, are expected to survive. The authorities tried to inform the church about the mishap, but no one picked up the calls.
