Bush fire in Western Australia causes huge destructionBush fire in Western Australian town destroyed 95 homes. Three people could not be traced in Yarloop south of Perth. High speed winds at 60km/h (37m/ph) to 50 m helped in spreading the fire.

The fire was intense and firefighters had a tough time tackling the fire. The fire has burnt down 50,000 hectares (500 sq km) and is very close to the Harvey and Preston Beach.

Thunderstorm hit the Pinjarra to the north of the fire zone at about 10:00 local time (02:00 GMT).

A man was injured by lightning, which further aggravated the fire along with the storm. One can only hope that there is a downpour to douse the fire. The town pub and the historic timber workshop have been destroyed
