Cabin crew delivers baby mid-air; Saudia Flight 21 makes emergency landing in London

Baby born mid-flightThe New York bound Boeing 777, flown from Saudi Arabia, made emergency landing at Heathrow Airport in London. Saudia is Saudi Arabia’s national airline, which operates large Boeing to small aircraft. The 10000km flight usually takes around 12 hours to reach its destination.



The plane was flying through Northern Ireland, when a passenger went into labour. The pilot of the flight was instructed to divert the flight immediately, in order to avoid any mishap.



The flight changed its course above Northern Ireland and started to fly towards Wales. The flight started from Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and it was heading towards JFK Airport of New York on 16th June’16. The flight landed at Heathrow airport around 11:10 in the morning.



The cabin crew of the flight controlled the situation and delivered a healthy baby girl, mid-flight. Later, a picture of the baby girl was posted on Facebook, along with the Arabian Airlines cabin crew and another little passenger.



According to the officials, both the baby and the mother are doing fine.
