Moving hotelThe company Cabin (formerly known as SleepBus) recently announced that it has been able to procure $3.3 million in a seed financing for its sleep-car buses.

This funding was headed by FF Angel of Founders Fund. And, it witnessed participation from half a dozen other investors. This new round of funding would enable the company to expand its overnight transportation regionally and nationally.

Currently, this company has conceived a ‘moving hotel’ idea.

As per its plan, they have outfitted sleeping berths inside travel buses just like trains have. Then, they have made sure the buses have a tiny communal lounge area for insomniacs, night-time tea facilities, earplugs and Wi-Fi for solitary insomniacs.

There would be attendants on hand as well as a bathroom on board and each rider would bring in two pieces of luggage for free.

At present, there is only a single route between Los Angeles and San Francisco.

The riders are picked up around 11.00 p.m. at a central location. The bus, on the other hand arrives in the next city around 7.00 a.m.

Cabin collaborates with Tesloop for creating long-distance road travel experiences.
