An airplane of American Airlines had to go for an emergency landing in Birmingham after smoke had been reported inside the cabin as per Toni Blast with the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport.
Ross Feinstein who is associated with American Airlines said that the American Eagle flight 5723 that was departing from Birmingham was travelling to Dallas.
Suddenly, the pilot of the aircraft reported smoke inside the plane’s cabin.
The plane, thereafter landed safely in Birmingham around 6.28 a.m. and fire units responded to the incident.
There were four crew members and 79 passengers on board. All of them were shuttled back to the terminal. The plane was up in the air for 11 minutes prior to returning to Birmingham-Shuttlesworth Airport. No injuries have been reported as a consequence of the emergency landing.
Currently a maintenance team is supervising the aircraft and it is scheduled to make a departure once more around 8.15 a.m.
