Cairo-based medical tourism marketplace Doctoorum has received an investment from Dubai seed fund Numu Capital.

Last year, the startup was founded by Yemeni entrepreneur Begad Nasser for assisting patients get affordable medical treatments in exclusive destinations.

It is not clear exactly how much Numu Capital invested in Doctoorum. Bahrain tech publication Startup MGZN said that last Thursday (5 September) the deal took place “a few months ago” during Doctoorum’s graduation from AUC Venture Lab.

The publication added that Doctoorum aims to expand its operations beyond Egypt and the Middle East and North Africa region to take in destinations like Turkey, India, Germany, and Thailand.
