The agreement was made after the 9th session of the Cambodian-Russian intergovernmental commission for trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation, which was co-chaired by Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Hor Namhong and visiting Russian Minister of Telecom and Mass Communication Nikolay Nikiforov.
“The commission exchanged views on a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, among them security and law enforcement, military-technical, trade and investment, tourism, agriculture, information technology, civil aviation, science education and culture, health and energy,” said a statement released after the meeting.
The Cambodian side requested Russia to continue providing the training of Russian-speaking guides in the field of tourism, it said, adding that Cambodia also expressed its interest in increasing the supply of rice to Russia.
