Tourism Ireland in France has joined forces with SelecTour, the largest travel agency network in France. The campaign, designed to highlight individual and group travel to the island of Ireland this year, will reach about 400,000 French travellers who book their holidays overseas with SelecTour.
The campaign involves digital screens and in-store displays promoting Ireland in some 850 travel agencies across France, all members of SelecTour. Attractive offers from a range of French travel companies – including Gaeland Aisling, TUI, Vacances Transat, Plein Vent and Visit Europe – are being highlighted.
Monica MacLaverty, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Southern Europe, said: “France is one of our top four markets for tourism to the island of Ireland and we have seen further growth in French visitor numbers so far again this year, with the most recent CSO figures for March to May showing an increase of +3.3% – an extra 5,000 French visitors compared with the same three-month period last year. Working with the influential French travel trade is an important element of our annual promotional programme, so we are delighted to partner with SelecTour this month, to continue to grow French visitor numbers to the island of Ireland in 2017.”
