Monica MacLaverty, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Southern Europe, said: “France is one of our top four markets for tourism to the island of Ireland and we have seen further growth in French visitor numbers so far again this year, with the most recent CSO figures for March to May showing an increase of +3.3% – an extra 5,000 French visitors compared with the same three-month period last year. Working with the influential French travel trade is an important element of our annual promotional programme, so we are delighted to partner with SelecTour this month, to continue to grow French visitor numbers to the island of Ireland in 2017.”
