More campaigns launched by Thailand to spur domestic consumption via tourism

In order to spur domestic consumption through tourism among Thai people from now until the end of this year, Thailand has launched more campaigns.

 

 

A combined sum of 116 million baht in funding will be provided online to stimulate domestic consumption through tourism-related businesses nation wide from now on till the year end. This was announced by the Tourism and Sports Minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn.

 

 

Tourism Throughout Thailand For One Hundred Baht is the campaign provided to the Thai people who wish to register for this and visits the tourists spots nationwide and pay only 100 baht for a pacakge of tourism-related activities. This can include flying  designated airline, staying at a designated hotel or resort etc.

 

Around  63.5 million baht (about 2.07 million U.S. dollars) is being funded by the government  in financial support for some 40,000 packages under the campaign.

 

World-Shocking Prices on Weekdays campaign is being provided by the registered Thai people to fly the first class on designated airline, check in at designated luxury hotels or resorts or shop for high-end merchandise at designated luxury stores or use services at designated hospitals or spas.

 

 

The tourism-related activities are provided under the campaign on weekdays from now on until the end of the year.

 

 

In financial support for the campaign the government is providing 52.5 million baht (about 1.71 million U.S. dollars).

 

To spur domestic consumption, Taste, Shop and Use for Free campaign was launched.

 

 

It is expected that a total of 10 million Thai people might register for it and are granted 1,000 baht each to buy merchandise at designated stores or to eat food at designated restaurants or use service at designated spas in the provinces.
