Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver will be actively participating in Global Wellness Day for the second year in a row, through a variety of fitness, food and beverage events and offerings with in-house and industry experts.
Global Wellness Day is designed to remind the earth’s inhabitants to celebrate living well. This encompasses everything from exercise and beauty treatments, to mindfulness and the harmony between body and spirit. This is a social movement without any commercial purpose, celebrated annually around the world on the second Saturday in June. Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is partnering with this initiative to highlight the company’s vast wellness initiatives, outstanding spas and community connections within the portfolio.
“Living well is the simple necessity for every human being on the planet,” says Belgin Askoy, Global Wellness Day Founder. “To overcome global problems, such as depression, and lead a healthier and happier life, we need an inspiring beginning. The name of this beginning is Global Wellness Day.”
The team at Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver is excited to offer three great fitness sessions during the week that highlight the city’s passion for healthy living through exercise:On Monday, June 6, the Hotel is kicking off the festivities by bringing the gift of Queen Bey to the masses in the form of a fun and fabulous Beyonce dance class presented by RSVP33. Back by popular demand is a partnership with the ultra-popular Eastwood Cycle Sanctuary. This year’s ride is happening on Eastwood’s home turf on Friday, June 10. Space is limited, sign up online.
Locals and guests are invited to set a great intention for the weekend ahead by joining in a sunrise yoga class led by Genieve Burley on Saturday, June 11 and the team at the flagship lululemon athletica Robson Street. Classes will be led by experts who promise to show participants a great time while getting their sweat on.
Local wellness coach Catherine Roscoe-Barr will be sharing her secrets of health, passion and productivity in a “Small Changes, Big Results” workshop for locals, guest and employees. Learning how to “walk the walk” to wellness is easier than it might appear when broken down into manageable pieces.
In addition to the many healthy options already on the YEW seafood + bar menu, Executive Chef Ned Bell will be creating a Big, Healthy Salad from June 6 through 10 that will change daily. Plant-based, nutrient-dense, sustainable and delicious are words this health-focused Chef lives by. The popular sustainable seafood restaurant will also be offering guests fresh-pressed juice shooters on the morning of Saturday, July 11.
Finally, the Hotel will also have wellness initiatives for employees, including a special healthy meal on June 8 in the inviting and health-minded employee cafeteria, affectionately called YOU2.
