Located close to the city of Madrid, is Candelaria Experience, a hotel born from the will to share the owner’s enthusiasm for life and their passion for nature, sports and the outdoors of the spectacular Sierra de Gredos. In the southern part of Gredos, you will find amazing landscapes full of oaks, small lakes and crystalline waterfalls descending directly from the highest peak, the Almanzor.
All of this makes the majestic mountain range of Gredos an authentic paradise for its flora and the most important species of its fauna: The Hispanic wild goat. This area is very special, not only because of its particular microclimate that has very pleasant temperatures during the whole year, but also because of the numerous interesting places which influenced our history, art and tradition such as The Old Roman Road (in Puerto del Pico), The Grottos called Las Cuevas del Águila and nearby traditional towns as Candeleda or El Barco de Ávila. All are not to be missed!
They’ve designed five different types of rooms, five different options with heir own identity. That way, every time you come back is a whole new experience all over again
But what really makes it special is the variety of activities that they offer their guests to enjoy in the heart of pure nature. It’s a unique environment destined to make you experience new sensations. Activities such as: horse riding routes, picnic deep inside the forest of Gredos, water sky, wake-board; and if you are a more experienced rider you can play Polo matches or just love treasure unforgettable memories by flying in a light aircraft.
Maybe you are not such an adventurer and you are looking more of a calm and relaxed time. For that they have a padel tennis court, a small golf course, a gorgeous swimming pool, routes you can go hiking or cycling on or just spend your day at the spa. Boredom is definitely not on the menu!
Without a doubt one of the best places to stay if you are planning to visit Madrid and enjoy its great golf courses. The closest to the hotel is the Royal Club La Hererría, located in San Lorenzo del Escorial, the third most visited monument in Spain, after the Alhambra of Granada and the Royal Palace of Madrid.
But above all, with Madrid a few steps away and the region’s amazing climate clocking an average of 2.769 hours of sun per year it offers the unbeatable combination of city appeal and a chance to play golf throughout the season.
