On April 29th, the Caribbean Airlines Marketing and Sales teams attended the Jamaica Product Exchange (JAPEX) tourism tradeshow at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in Jamaica. JAPEX is the largest annual tourism event held in Jamaica and provides the opportunity for airlines, hotels, travel agents and tour operators to network and form relationships which are aimed at strengthening Jamaica’s very diverse leisure tourism product.
During the visit, the Caribbean Airlines teams engaged with a number of key stakeholders including Jamaica’s Director of Tourism, Mr Paul Pennecock and President of the Jamaica Hotel & Tourism Association, Nicola Madden-Greig to discuss the opportunities available since the opening of the North South 2000 link highway from Kingston’s Norman Manley International airport to Ocho Rios and on to Montego Bay.
Caribbean Airlines continues to be an avid supporter of regional tourism and recently partnered with the Jamaican Tourist Board to sponsor a familiarization tour for eight travel agents to visit the island and explore the many leisure options available.
Alicia Cabrera, Senior Marketing Manager stated, “We are happy to announce our new partnerships with the well renowned tourist attractions located in Ocho Rios such as the Dolphin Cove, Mystic Forest Rainforest Adventures and Margaritaville to extend to our valued customers who travel to Jamaica and choose to explore the beautiful island. Our Customers who fly into Kingston from North America or from within the region, can hop on board the Knutsford Express and arrive within an hour and 30 minutes to these attractions in Ocho Rios and beyond.”
Caribbean Airlines, from its Port of Spain Hub offers up to eight weekly services to Kingston, and also offers daily services from both New York & Fort Lauderdale to/ from Kingston and Montego Bay as well as three weekly services from Nassau and Toronto to/ from Toronto. Also, all passengers first checked bag always flies free and economy passengers can pay just U$$30 for a second checked-bag, which is one of the lowest rates in the global airline industry.
