Carnival Triumph cruise cancelled due to engine problems

West Carnival Cruise A Carnival Cruise ship headed back from West Caribbean to New Orleans as it lost the engine power.

 

 

 

The ship is scheduled to dock at 8 p.m. on Thursday, according to a letter sent to passengers by the authorities of Carnival Cruise.

 

 

Carnival said the Triumph, which was scheduled to leave port again Thursday, will remain docked.

 

 

The four-night cruise has been cancelled because of the propulsion issues with the ship. The passengers have been contacted. They will receive a full refund and 25-percent off a future cruise.

 

 

 

The guests on the current cruise will be allowed to stay on the ship overnight and should receive new flight details back to their destinations.

 

 

They will also compensate some customers for change fees in airline reservations.
