Cave housesAccommodations in caves in the districts of Guadix and El Marquesado and Baza-Huéscar have become one of the most attractive and unique tourism products of the province of Granada. Currently there are more than fifty classified tourist accommodation establishments converted in caves in the two districts and Granada Sacromonte.

They all have common features: quality service, respect for the environment, and the recovery and conservation of one of the most peculiar constructive and architectonic traditions of Europe.

Sleeping in a cave house is an experience that immerses visitors in the culture and lifestyle of more than 3,000 families from Granada. Excavated in the bowels of the earth, these houses are a magnificent example of the integration of man with nature and landscape.

Each of the caves is different from the others. The caves are compact and waterproof and stay cool in summer and warm in winter.
