As the Chinese Lunar New Year is fast approaching, Grand Nikko Bali has prepared an array of culinary delicacies to welcome the Year of the Fire Monkey. Sumptuous oriental feasts featuring dishes that symbolize prosperity and longevity will be available at the resort’s various restaurants on 7th & 8th February 2016.
Embrace the festivities with our special Chinese New Year High Tea by the beach. We will be serving three-tier platters filled with sweet and savoury items, along with freshly baked pastries and tropical fruits for your afternoon pleasure. Enjoy the sea breeze while savouring tea and light bites at The Shore’s Marina Deck.
Our Lunar New Year’s Eve Dinner will incorporate a Chinese barbecue buffet serving Char Sui Pork Ribs, Five Spice Duck Skewers and assorted seafood items. There will also be a carving station, hot dish station and a separate area of sweet treats. Dinner will be accompanied by an exclusive screening of China Central TV’s New Year Gala showcasing Chinese folk songs and culturally inspiring performances. Gather with family and friends for this auspicious occasion at Brasserie des Celebrites and Fountain Cafe from 06.30 pm to 10.00 pm.
To bring good fortune for the year ahead, join in the Chinese custom of tossing a plate of Yu Sheng or prosperity salad at Benkay Restaurant. During this traditional celebration, everyone must gather around the table and toss shredded bits of raw fish and vegetables into the air while exclaiming auspicious wishes. As eating dumplings on New Year’s Day is also thought to bring luck, Benkay will also feature Japanese Gyoza with homemade sauce.
The Lion Dance has long been a symbolic part of Chinese culture for many centuries. Here at Grand Nikko Bali, you will have a chance to witness a lively performance by a troupe of dancers accompanying the barongsai. They will start at the Lobby and continue to weave their way through the resort’s numerous outlets finishing off at The Shore restaurant.
Celebrate Chinese New Year with an evening of indulgence in the sophisticated ambience of The Shore Restaurant & Bar with a seafood buffet with oriental temptations on 8th February 2016. Enjoy a delectable selection of ocean delights including Chilli Crabs, King Prawns, Grilled Snapper and Clams. There will also be a vibrant display of fireworks on the beachfront to enhance the festive mood and welcome the Year of the Fire Monkey in style. This sensational seafood buffet is priced at Rp 450.000 net per person.
