National Picnic Month is celebrated in July, and just in time, Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort has announced a new offering of gourmet made-to-order “picnic baskets,” available to enjoy on the Resort lawns or to take to-go. The picnic lunch can be ordered in advance and picked up at the guest’s designated time, packed for convenience in a Four Seasons insulated bag.
Options include a picnic for one, including one sandwich, one side, one bag of chips, one non-alcoholic drink, and a dessert; a couples picnic, including two sandwiches, one large side, two bags of chips, one meat and cheese plate with a baguette, two desserts, and two non-alcoholic drinks; and a kid’s picnic lunch, including choice of sandwich, chips and a drink.
The Picnic Menu offerings include:
Shredded beef, red cabbage, apple slaw, tangy mustard, onion roll
Black Forest ham, brie, habanero fig jam, iceberg lettuce, brioche
Chicken salad, walnuts, tarragon, arugula, cranberry multigrain
Smoked turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickle, avocado aioli, ciabatta
Vegetable wrap, spinach, tomato, cucumber, lemon mint yogurt, garlic and herb wrap
Kids Sandwich Options
Turkey and swiss
Ham sandwich with American cheese
Potato salad, green onion, dijonaise
Heirloom tomato and mozzarella salad, basil, lemon oil
Toasted farro salad, dried cranberries, sumac, confit onions, tangerine oil
Whole fruit – banana, apple or orange
Gourmet Meats and Cheese
Prosciutto, chorizo, bresaola; piave, St. Angel blue, English cheddar
Cookie, chocolate covered pretzels, macaroons, cupcake
The picnic is available for USD 30 for one adult; USD 65 for two adults; and USD 20 per child.
To aid in the relaxation and enjoyment of one’s picnic lunch, a Four Seasons team member can set up the picnic display at one of the Resort’s scenic areas, such as the lakeside Areca Lawn. Picnic setup is a USD 25 fee, including use of a nice Four Seasons picnic blanket. Guests can purchase the signature Four Seasons picnic blanket for USD 25.
One’s picnic setup can be upgraded with a choice of select wine, such as Masi Masiano pino grigio, Alto Adige, Italy; Markham sauvignon blanc, Napa Valley, California; M. Chapoutier Belleruche, rosé, Cote-du-Rhone, France; Tapiz malbec, Mendoza, Argentina; Paso Creek merlot, Paso Robles, California; and Daughters prosecco, Veneto, Italy. All wines are priced between USD 55-65 per bottle.
