Celebrate NSW Seniors Festival 2019 with music, art, sporting and health events

Giving seniors the opportunity to make new friends or get together with old ones at local community events, NSW will host Seniors Festival from 13 to 24 February 2019 with the theme ‘Love Your Life’.

Events will include twilight cinemas in Sydney’s west and modified sporting events in Dubbo. The Premier’s Gala Concerts and Seniors Expo will be held during the festival at the International Convention Centre, Darling Harbour.

One hundred and twenty organisations have received NSW Government funding to host events and activities in Sydney and regional areas during the festival.

Minister for Ageing Tanya Davies is encouraging seniors to make the most of the festival and to get involved in as many local events across NSW as possible.

“The NSW Government wants to celebrate seniors and create exciting opportunities for older people to get out in the community, kick up their heels and meet others while sharing new experiences,” Davies said.
