Restaurant commemorates first year with barbecue bash Join Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North on Friday, November 15, 2013 for the last barbecue bash of the year to commemorate the one-year birthday of Proof, an American canteen.”The summer barbecue series was such a big hit that we wanted to bring it back, and make the last barbecue of the season the biggest yet,” says Proof General Manager Graham Williamson.
“Everyone is welcome to join us for the celebration, enjoy the barbecue, and maybe a Proof Pilsner or two!”The menu will start with New England clam chowder served in a hearty bread bowl, and dinner entrees include St. Louis pork ribs, honey cayenne chicken and blackened salmon. Accompanying the main event will be side dishes such as baked potatoes served with family-style condiments, and roasted brussels sprouts with caramelized pear, bacon and parmesan cheese.
And, what birthday celebration would be complete with a cake? Executive Pastry Chef Lance Whipple is whipping up a nine-foot chocolate cake, sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. Live entertainment will be provided throughout the night courtesy of Jared Blackstone, and local Arizona brewery Mother Road Brewery will highlight their seasonal Painted Racer ESB.The cost for the birthday barbecue menu is USD 39.00 per person, and the celebration begins at 5:30 pm.
Also available will be some of the most popular dishes from the Proof’s “Greatest Hits” menu, including the signature chicken and waffles. New for fall 2013, visitors can take home “proof” they were at Proof, an American canteen. Selections include specialty t-shirts, emblazoned with sayings such as “I got my bacon on in Scottsdale, AZ;” custom license plate photo albums; housemade jellies and jams; vintage salt and pepper shakers; and Proof koozies and pint glasses. The cost for the retails items ranges from USD 4.00 for a koozie to USD 35.00 for a license plate album. Items are available for purchase in the restaurant.
